Where there was once a tree
A long forgotten and buried memory
There is now a fairy ring of bright green grass
Fed nitrogen by mycelium as it decomposes the carbon and organics stored in the roots of the tree's life
The fairy ring expands a little each year
The center is where the tree once stood
Where it grew hidden rings of its own
Now giving back in reverse, humbly
It's a good place to hunt for luck amongst the clovers.
